3 Keys to Easy Fall Decorating

There is nothing quite like stepping through a door to leave chilled air behind, and being met with the stimulating scents of cinnamon and pumpkin. This type of sensation is synonymous with fall. As the days get cooler, many look to bring warmer elements into their homes to create a cozy atmosphere that reflects all the beauty autumn has to offer. Continue reading below for 3 easy ways to decorate for fall.

Festive Curb Appeal

With themes ranging from a harvest to Halloween, fall is the perfect opportunity to get festive and decorate your porch or entryway. For an effortless look that can last all season, try making a pumpkin tower. Gather at least 3 pumpkins of varying sizes, preferably fake ones if you want them to last for a long time, a strong glue of your choice, and a flower pot slightly smaller than the width of your largest pumpkin. Begin by gluing the pumpkins on top of each other. Next, glue your pumpkin tower to your pot. From here, feel free to personalize your tower. You could wrap a seasonal garland around it, or use wood letters to spell out words like “welcome” or “fall”.

An Inviting Table

Bring some warmth into your kitchen by swapping your regular table settings for an autumn related one. Find a tall glass vase of your choice, and fill it with pine-cones and acorns. Add some artificial fall foliage to the center of it to finish off this quick and easy center piece. Include a few fall scented candles as well for a soft glow during dinner. Any tablecloths, placemats, and napkins should be neutral or of muted tones to allow your center piece to really pop.

Magnificent Mantle

Create a cozy and inviting space in your living room by decorating your mantle. For a minimalist look, simple place a few fake pumpkins and gourds on either end of the mantle to create balance. Hang or place a fall wreath against the wall in the center, and lay a fall leaf garland across the top of the mantle to pull everything together. For a more in depth look, you could add candles, lanterns, fall trinkets, or a small banner.

Decorating for fall doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Many craft stores have all the materials needed to create your ideal vision. With the ideas listed above, you’ll be well on your way to celebrating this truly beautiful season.
